Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (“GAC”), a wholly Emirates Global Aluminium (“EGA”) owned mining development company, is currently focused on advancing its bauxite and alumina export project located in the Boké region of north-western Guinea at the heart of the country’s bauxite reserves.
As part of its on-going activities and to strengthen its workforce, GAC is recruiting for the position of Governance and Compliance Director to assist in leading a world class compliance function and to implement an effective compliance program that operates across GAC.
Purpose of the position
To ensure that GAC is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures and operates in an ethical manner. To incorporate global best practices and to ensure compliance risks are identified and abated. To provide the CEO and EGA’s General Counsel (GC) and GC-Compliance with periodic analysis, updates and guidance on compliance related matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- A bachelor’s degree from an internationally reputable university. Master Degree, CPA a +
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a top-tier international company (preferably UK or US) working in a compliance position

- Communication skills (Fluent English and French – essential; Arabic / Mandarin – desirable)
